Course Introduction

Crafted into the spectacular ocean side landscape, Secret Harbour boasts 18 superbly designed holes and lies breathtakingly against the panoramic setting of the vast Indian Ocean. Experience a traditional Scottish links course with small pot bunkers, rolling fairways amid the natural sand dunes and beautiful ocean views.

Course designer Graham Marsh has crafted the course such that the average golfer will find it enjoyable and for the golf professional, a challenge. Each hole presents several tee options depending on wind conditions and the player's ability and one to be savoured.

The beautifully manicured rolling fairways are pitted with well positioned pot bunkers and bordered by lush fescue grass. This puts a premium on course management, accuracy and a thoughtful approach to each hole. Couple these elements with the refreshing breezes from the adjacent Indian Ocean, and you have a recipe for a unique golfing experience.

The Course

Designed by the renowned golf architect and player, Graham Marsh, Secret Harbour Golf Links reflects the style of the traditional Scottish courses such as Muirfeild, Turnberry and St. Andrews. To all golfers who are used to tree lined parkland courses this will present a totally new and exciting challenge, and one to be savoured.

The established original "Links" has been joined by the "Dunes" front nine which Graham Marsh regards as probably the best work he has ever created. Using the contours of natural seaside to bring back the art of shot making and with a breathtaking vista all adds up to a truly satisfying experience that should not be missed by any player. As part of the 'Golf Coast' group of courses it is only forty minutes from Perth and a stones throw from Mandurah and Rockingham. We look forward to welcoming you to one of Australia's magnificent eighteen's.

Signature Holes

All of the fantastic Graham Marsh designed holes at Secret Harbour Golf Links are special and unique, however a few holes stand out as being a fantastic effort in golf course architecture.

Firstly the 4th hole, remembered by everyone who stepped foot on the course, a long par four which requires a long and accurate drive right over a large swamp. Then with a mid to long iron in your hands, an accurate shot is a must in order to hit the tight green, guarded by a bunker and long grass.

Another hole that is sure to be remembered by all that play the course is the 8th, a shorter par 3 which requires a shot to be hit over water and then stop on a dime on the short and wide green, which is surrounded by pot bunkers and long grass. Distance control is critical on this hole, however a good shot is greatly rewarded and the mediocre shot, recoverable.

On the back nine two more holes stand out to the golfer, the 15th and the 17th. The 15th is a hole which has both sides of it's long fairway guarded by the natural Australian bush, and an island in the fairway, so placement of the tee is critical. However, distance is also a premium as even the longest hitters will find themselves with at least a mid iron in their hands. The green is surrounded by deep pot bunkers and water on the left and back, whilst an ancient sand dune takes care of wayward shots to the right.

The most memorable hole on the golf course would be that of the 17th where a wide fairway is littered with pot bunkers, and comes to an abrupt halt where a lake sits. Across the other side of the lake sits the smallish, two-tier green which is surrounded by pot bunkers on either side, and hollows followed immediately by the bush behind the green. Again distance control is at it's premium, although bailout areas are available to the golfer not so willing to take on the water.
